3.1.1

śarīraṃ dhārayantīha ṣaḍrasāḥsamamāhṛtāḥ | ato ' nyathā vikārāṃs tu janayanti śarīriṇām ||

Taken in equal measure, the six tastes sustain the body here; / taken otherwise, however, they produce disorders in embodied beings.
