nānāvidhāni khalu sattvāni, tāni sarvāṇyekapuruṣe bhavanti, na ca bhavantyekakālam, ekaṃ tu prāyovṛttyā++āha //

Minds are manifold; all of them exist in a single person, but they do not exist at the same time; one [type] is described [as characterizing him] by virtue of its predominant occurrence.
