adhyāpanam adhyayanaṃ yajanaṃ yājanaṃ tathā
dānaṃ pratigrahaṃ caiva brāhmaṇānām akalpayat //

To Brahmanas he assigned teaching and studying (the Veda), sacrificing for their own benefit and for others, giving and accepting (of alms).
