vasūn vadanti tu pitṝn rudrāṃś caiva pitāmahān
prapitāmahāṃs tathādityān śrutir eṣā sanātanī //

They call (the manes of) fathers Vasus, (those of) grandfathers Rudras, and (those of) great-grandfathers Adityas; thus (speaks) the eternal Veda.
