bhūmiṣṭham uddhṛtaṃ vāpi śītam uṣṇam athāpi vā | gāṅgaṃ payaḥ punāty eva pāpam āmaraṇāntikam

Whether standing on the ground or drawn up, whether cold or warm, / the water of the Gaṅgā purifies sin right up to the end of life.

Whether on the ground or drawn up, cold or hot, the water of the Gaṅgā purifies sin up to the point of death.
