20.34
pitṛlokagataś cānnaṃ śrāddhe bhuṅkte svadhāsamam
pitṛlokagatasyāsya tasmāc chrāddhaṃ prayacchata //
Having passed into the abode of the manes (after the performance of the Sapindîkarana) he enjoys in the shape of celestial food his portion of the Srâddha (funeral oblation); offer the Srâddha, therefore, to him who has passed into the abode of the manes.
