divyāntarīkṣabhūmiṣṭhāḥ pitaro bāndhavādayaḥ /
pretādirūpā muktāḥ(2) syuḥ piṇḍair dattair mayākhilāḥ //
“May all my ancestors, kinsmen, and others—those dwelling in heaven, the atmosphere, or on earth, / [even] those in the form of ghosts—be liberated by the funerary balls offered by me!”
