devyuvāca
devair jitā dānavāś ca(2) yenopāyena tadvada /
śubhāśubhavivekādyaṃ jñānaṃ yuddhajayārṇavaṃ //
The goddess said: / Tell that means by which the demons were conquered by the gods, / the knowledge [discriminating] auspicious and inauspicious, [called] the Ocean of Victory in War.
