gomatīñca japedvidyāṃ gostutiṃ gomatīṃ smaret /
ekā cedbahubhirdaivād yatra vyāpāditā bhavet //
He should recite the Gomatī formula, and recollect the Gomatī hymn to the cow. / If by chance a single [cow] should be killed by many,
