caruṃ yavamayaṃ hutvā(1) śāntitoyaṃ samācaret /
secayenmūrdhni devaṃ tu sajīvakaraṇaṃ caret //
Having offered sacrificial boiled barley, he should perform the pacification water rite;
he should sprinkle [water] on the head of the god and perform the enlivening rite.
