aho bata bhavāny etat prajānāṃ paśya vaiśasam /
kṣīrodamathanodbhūtāt kālakūṭādupasthitam //
37. Siva said:—What a pity! Note the distress of these creatures, O Parvati, which has arisen in the form of the poison *Kalakuta* by the churning of the sea of Milk.
