oṃ vācyatāṃ ityukte oṃ pitāmahādibhyaḥ svadhocyatām /
astu svadhetyukte pitṛbrāhmaṇa pitṛbhyaḥ svadhocyatāmiti /
astu svadhetyukte oṃ ūrjaṃ vahantīriti dakṣiṇābhimukhavāridhārātyāgaḥ /
oṃ viśvedevā asmin yajñe prīyantāmiti devabrāhmaṇahaste oṃ yavodakadānam /
oṃ devatābhya iti trirjapaḥ //

When "Let it be recited" is said: "Oṃ, let svadhā be spoken for the grandfather and others!" / When "Let there be svadhā" is said: [to] the father's brāhmaṇa, "Let svadhā be spoken for the ancestors!" / When "Let there be svadhā" is said: releasing a stream of water facing south with "Oṃ, bearing nourishment…"; / "Oṃ, may the Viśvedevas be pleased with this sacrifice"—giving water with barley into the hand of the deity's brāhmaṇa; / chanting three times: "Oṃ, to the deities…"
