piṇḍapātrāṇi cālayitvā ācamya pitāmahādibhyo dakṣiṇāṃ dattvā tataḥ pitṛ brāhmaṇāya āśiṣo me pradīyantāmityāśīḥ prārthanam /
pratigṛhyatāmityukte dātāro no 'bhivardhantāmiti pātramuttānaṃ kṛtvā vāje vājedṛvisarjanam /
abhiraṇyatāmiti pitṛbrāhmaṇavisarjanam //

Moving the piṇḍa vessels, sipping water, giving priestly gifts to the grandfather and others; then asking blessings of the father's brāhmaṇa: "May blessings be bestowed upon me!" / When "May it be received" is said: turning the vessel upright with "May our givers increase!"; dismissal with "At every contest…"; / dismissing the father's brāhmaṇa with "May you be delighted!"
