cāṇḍālannaṃ yadā bhuṅkte pramādādaindavañcaret //
A twice-born who eats the leavings of an outcaste is purified by a cāndrāyaṇa; / when he heedlessly eats cāṇḍāla food, he should perform a lunar observance.
