hṛṣyanti pitaraḥ śrutvā śrāddhakālamupasthitam /
anyonyaṃ manasā dhyātvā sampatanti manojavam //

The ancestors rejoice on hearing that the time for the śrāddha has arrived; / contemplating one another in their minds, they fly down swift as thought.
