ityevaṃ pañcabhiḥ piṇḍaiḥ śavasyāhutiyogyatā /
anyathā copaghātāya pūrvoktāste bhavanti hi //
Thus, through these five piṇḍas, the corpse becomes fit for the oblation;
otherwise, those aforementioned [beings] surely cause injury.
