niyacchedviṣayebhyo 'kṣānmanasā buddhi sārathiḥ /
manaḥ karmabhirākṣiptaṃ śubhārthe dhārayeddhiyā //
With intellect as charioteer, he should restrain the senses from their objects by means of the mind; / he should hold with intellect the mind, agitated by actions, upon an auspicious object.
