tṛtīyāṃśe paṭhite vedatulyaṃ phalaṃ bhavennātra vicāryamasti /
tṛtīyāṃśaśravaṇādeva viprāḥ phalaṃ proktaṃ paṭhatopyarthamevam //
When the third section is recited, the reward is equal to the Veda; there is no doubt about this. / From the mere hearing of the third section, O brahmins, the [same] fruit is proclaimed as from reciting and understanding the meaning.
