She whose throat is emaciated by hunger, who causes distorted terror, who terrifies evildoers, who consumes corpse-flesh with teeth like ladles amidst released masses of flames; / she who brandishes her fierce staff-like arms with the resonant clang and tolling of damarus and bells, while sharp drums beaten by the catastrophic winds of the cosmic dissolution resound—the Mother of beings leaps; / emaciated by hunger, her belly withered, grinding corpse-flesh with the most splendid and swiftest of noble men, letting out a wild laugh with a guttural roar—may Carmermuṇḍā protect you all!
