yannitye! tava kāmarājamaparaṃ mantrākṣaraṃ niṣkalaṃ
tat sārasvatamityavaiti viralaḥ kaścid budhaśced bhuvi .
ākhyānaṃ pratiparva satyatapaso yat kīrtayanto dvijāḥ
prārambhe praṇavāspadapraṇayinīṃ nītvoccaranti sphuṭam ..

O Eternal One! If some rare wise man on earth understands that other seed syllable of your mantra,
the kāmarāja, even when formless, bestows the grace of Sarasvatī—
that syllable which the twice-born pronounce distinctly at the beginning of the narrative of Satyatapas,
which they recite on every new-moon day, after bringing it to intimate union with the syllable oṃ… || 4
