இனையை ஆகிச் செல்மதி;
On the last days of heavy showers, when cool rain poured
shaking the heavens, crumpling the mingled flowers,
while I am all alone and sorrow deepens in my heart,
as I think of him who left and my few bangles slip loose,
looking forward in hope of his coming with joyous heart,
without saying, “She is pitiful!” in my dying distress,
O chilly north wind, resembling rocks breaking open
in the early-frost midnight when lotuses are scorched
by drops that destroy the eyes like the breath of a bull elephant!
You seem to have come for me alone! To the land where the cruel one went,
so that his heart may soften and melt like a heap of silt
cast down by a stream of water, go without sleeping,
remaining just like this!
Those who hasten after their tasks might also remember!
