Though you do not know, because of your desirable passion
that never leaves your body, I shall tell you, O tōḻi!
Even before they are reaped, bending their ears, the millets
have left many stubbles in every green field where the torrent ceases;
and you are content with having obtained the hunter
who goes across many mountains with a swift dog,
wearing a honey-dripping garland of conflicting fragrances;
if you do not go here and there, rising up and up
so that your flower-rich garland sways,
repeatedly practicing the clear call to the parrots,
mother, thinking, “This girl does not know how to scare off little parrots,”
will bring others and place them [in the field];
then it will become hard to reach his broad chest!
