Since his heart consents, wishing for unity and restraining himself,
so that the suffering of coming at night may cease,
if he intends to marry, rejoicing greatly,
in the swollen flood of heavy rain descending the tall mountain,
heedless of the scandal in the small hamlet of gloriosa lilies,
so that our streaked, lustrous, cool eyes turn red, tomorrow,
making the chest of the lord of the great mountain our raft,
let us bathe, come, O beloved confidante!
Covering the bamboo-dense mountain slopes, dropping sheets of rain,
rumbling like a sweet-sounding drum, like the battle-famous spear
raised in ongoing war by Vaḻuti of victorious battles,
whose long hands touch his knees, who saw the fleeing backs of his foes,
flashing like a banner, the rain has pounced!
