தீதிலாட்டி திருநுதற் பசப்பே?

In the camp where infuriated tuskers of rutting strength were roused,
as thunder-spitting drums resounded on the battlefield,
the king has won and raised his banner;
as herds of diverse milch cows along with calves frolic across every pasture,
the cowherds have placed their flutes to their lips;
swiftly the young soldiers march forth, while the swift-gaited horses
with spread manes sprint along the path
as the charioteer pulls firm the reins;
if I am to enter with the joy of victory,
while cool, fragrant sandalwood powder adorns
my broad chest wearing a golden garland that scholars praise,
where, indeed, can it abide—
the pallor of separation upon the lovely forehead
of the blameless woman whose kohl-rimmed eyes resemble exquisite blossoms?
