He prays for this blessing for the sacrificer himself. With [the mantra] 'Swell for welfare', he attains welfare. With 'Swell for priestly splendor', he becomes endowed with priestly splendor. With 'Swell for my life, luster, primacy, increase of wealth, and good offspring', he prays for this blessing for himself. With 'For brilliance thee, for glory thee, for welfare thee, for virile power thee', he extends the vessel clockwise. He makes the quarters sharers [of the offering], for the non-injury of himself. 'Thou art the maintainer, a good maintainer; uphold these prayers for him.' This [Rudra] is indeed Agni. Just as one cuts a share for Agni, just so is this. With 'Bhūḥ, bhuvaḥ, svaḥ, an offered oblation, honey oblation to the most Indra-like fire, svāhā', he offers following the rule of the Agnihotra. This is indeed the completion, fashioned like heaven. And, for non-interruption, he offers mentally with a [mantra] to Prajāpati. Prajāpati is indeed like the mind; the sacrifice belongs to Prajāpati; he extends the sacrifice itself. They deliberate: 'Is it to be consumed, or is it not to be consumed?' If he were to consume it, he would be liable to perish; if he were not to consume it, it would become non-oblation. He should smell it; he thereby does both. The sacrificer alone consumes it; he places priestly splendor in himself. He says, 'Recite for [the Gharma] being placed down', for support. With 'Thee for the day, thee for the sun, thee for the night, thee for the constellations', he makes the day and night and the sun and constellations sharers. The Brāhmaṇa mantras of the 'Yuñjate' are completed. The Gharmājaṭharā Brāhmaṇa: 'O Gharmājaṭharau, make me a consumer of food among these people; may I be a consumer of food among these people.' Indra and Agni are indeed the two Gharmājaṭharas among the gods. They rule over proper food. They grant proper food to him. He who knows thus becomes an eater of food. 'O Kavī-Mātariśvānau, make me prosperous among these people; may I be prosperous among these people.' […] are indeed the two Kavī-Mātariśvans among the gods. They rule over prosperity. They grant prosperity to him.
