ŚĀ 12.3
Conquer, O Indra, the enemies; slay, O hero, the Dasyus; as if having slain Vṛtra, cut them to pieces with the axe! / As a flood [washes away] curses, let it drive away rivals; let it cut down rivals as an axe cuts trees! ||11
Cut them through from the middle, cut them through from above, cut them apart from behind, O hero, cut them down! / The enemies driven off by you, O Maghavan, may the Maruts pursue, harming [them], O hero! ||12
Swell with Rudra-weapons, thinking on Indra, the Maruts took delight in you; / let the fair-winged vultures, tearing them to pieces, exalt the tusked one among the increasers! ||13
Driven by the sacred formula, O Maghavan, let the fragments of him who fights against [us] fall scattered on all sides, O Indra! / May they find no one who knows them, no support; striking one another down, may they go to death! ||14
O glorious Agni, unite [me] with glory; bring hither homage accompanied by Indra! / May this head, supreme, full of splendour, be celebrated with the highest praise among his kinsmen! ||15
