For the success of the sacrificial session, they praise facing the fire's wing.
They announce to Agni and the gods: 'We have succeeded.'
With two wings of the Vrata on both sides of the two havirdhāna carts,
those who consecrate themselves for a year consecrate themselves for the heavenly world.
In that they praise with the two wings of the Vrata, they set two wings upon the self for flying to the heavenly world.
Therefore, two wings are set upon the self.
They praise with the incoming and outgoing breaths:
with the incoming breath in front, with the outgoing breath behind.
Regarding this they say: 'Surely they are deprived of incoming and outgoing breath who fail to perform the sacrificial act, or do they not fail to perform it?'
For who knows whether they fail to perform it or not?
In that they praise with the incoming and outgoing breaths, they are fully united with incoming and outgoing breath.
