yáthā yáśaś candrámasy ādityé ca nr̥cákṣasi |
evā́ me varaṇó maṇíḥ kīrtíṃ bhū́tiṃ ní yachatu |
téjasā mā sám ukṣatu yáśasā sám anaktu mā ||18||
As glory [is] in the moon, and in the men-beholding Āditya, so let the varaṇá amulet etc. etc.
