karśáphasya viśaphásya dyáuḥ pitā́ pr̥thivī́ mātā́ |
yáthābhicakrá devā́s táthā́pa kr̥ṇutā púnaḥ ||1||
Of the karçápha, of the viçaphá, heaven [is] father, earth mother: as, O gods, ye have inflicted (abhi-kṛ), so do ye remove (apa-kṛ) again.
