tváyā pū́rvam átharvāṇo jaghnū́ rákṣāṃsy oṣadhe |
tváyā jaghāna kaśyápas tváyā káṇvo agástyaḥ ||1||
By thee of old the Atharvans slew the demons, O herb; by thee did Kaçyapa slay; by thee Kaṇva, Agastya.
