yā́m mr̥tā́yānubadhnánti kūdyàṃ padayópanīm |
tád vái brahmajya te devā́ upastáraṇam abruvan ||12||
The kūdī́ which they tie on after a dead man, as effacer (?) of the track, that verily, O Brahman-scather, did the gods call thy couch (upastáraṇa).
