tád vái rāṣṭrám ā́ sravati nā́vaṃ bhinnā́m ivodakám |
brahmā́ṇaṃ yátra híṃsanti tád rāṣṭráṃ hanti duchúnā ||8||
It leaks verily into that kingdom, as water into a split boat (nāú); where they injure a Brahman, that kingdom misfortune smites.
