tasyāmudīcīnaśirā nipadyate tryāyuṣaṃ kaśyapasyāgastyasya tryāyuṣaṃ jamadagnestryāyuṣaṃ yaddevānāṃ tryāyuṣaṃ tanme astu tryāyuṣam iti \

Upon it he lies down with his head to the north, [reciting]: 'The triple life-span of Kaśyapa, of Agastya the triple life-span, the triple life-span of Jamadagni, what triple life-span belongs to the gods, may that triple life-span be mine.'
