bhadrā hi naḥ pramatirasya saṃsadyagne sakhye mā riṣāmā vayaṃ tava svāhā iti athāpareṇāgnimudīcīpratiṣevaṇāmerakāmāstṛṇāti \

"For blessed is our devotion in his assembly; O Agni, in your friendship may we not suffer harm, svāhā." Then, to the west of the fire, he spreads out an erakā-grass mat with its border facing north.
