ولقيت بمدينة أوجه الشيخ العابد الزاهد الشريف قطب الدين حيدر العلوي ، وألبسني الخرقة، وهو من كبار الصالحين ولم يزل الثوب الذي ألبسنيه معي إلى أن سلبني كفار الهنود في البحر .

In the city of Ūjah I met the devout and ascetic shaykh, the sharīf Quṭb al-Dīn Ḥaydar al-ʿAlawī, who invested me with the khirqa. He is one of the great saints, and the garment he invested me with stayed with me until the Hindu infidels robbed me at sea.
