وهذه الشجرة كانت سبب إسلام جد كويل الذي عمر المسجد والبائن فانه كان يقرأ الخط العربي فلما قرأها، وفهم ما فيها أسلم وحسن إسلامه، وحكايته عندهم متواترة.

This tree was the cause of the conversion to Islam of Kuwayl's grandfather who built the mosque and the tank, for he could read Arabic script, and when he read it and understood what was on it he became a Muslim and was a good Muslim. His story is widely transmitted among them.
