بحهآ بط ا رچه دنه وذآب دریاش تا بسینه بوذ (15/1) آنگاه حکیم سندباذ بر پای خاست ، واز جهت این حالرا اصطرلاب ک پیش آفتاب داشت ، ودرجات طالع وقتی نگاه می کرد؛ در شکل طالع شاهزاذه تا هفت روز پیوسته نحوست وخطری اقتضا می کرد ، سندباذ ازان متحیر شذ ، وگفت :

A duckling, even if it is one day old, / the water of the sea reaches only to its breast."
Thereupon the sage Sindbād stood up, and for the sake of this matter, held an astrolabe
before the sun, and examined the degrees of the ascendant of that moment; in the ascendant of the prince,
for up to seven days, continuous inauspiciousness and danger were indicated. Sindbād was bewildered by this,
and said:
