ان کان سر کم ما قال حاسدنا فما لجوح اذا أرضا کم الم کم تطلبون لنا عیبا فنغجزرکم ویکره الله ما تأتون والکرم

‘If what our envier said gave you pleasure, / then a wound gives no pain when it satisfies you.
How much you seek a fault in us, while we disappoint you! / And God detests what you commit, as does nobility.’
