19 داستان دزد وشیر وحمدونه بوذ کی در طویلهٔ‌ چهارپایان روم ، وستوری نیکو بگیرم ، تا رنج من ضایع ، وسعی من باطل نگردذ ، وبفال فرخنده باز گردم . پس در میان ستوران رفت . وآن شب باتفاق شیری بعزم شکار بیرون آمذه نوذ ، ودر پایگاه چهارپایان ، از هول وفزع پاسبان می برسیذ ، ومنتظر ومترصد می بوذ ، تا مگر مشغله پاسبان بنشینذ ، ومشعلهٔ‌ کاروانیان فرو میرذ ، ستوری بشکنذ ، وجراحت محاعت را شفا ومرهم سازذ کی :

in going into the stable of the quadrupeds and seizing a fine mount, so that my toil should not be wasted
and my effort rendered null, and I might return with an auspicious omen. So he went among the beasts.
