ग्रामस्वरो मेरुसंस्थो ध्रुवत्वात्स्यात् कथं च्युतः ।
च्युतस्यापि कथं तस्याच्युतत्वं परिकीर्तितम् ॥
उच्यते भावभट्टेन ग्रामस्वरश्रुतिर्नहि ।
षड्जग्रामे मध्यमस्य षड्जस्यापि च मध्यमे ॥
भिन्नग्रामे च्युतिरसति स्वग्रामे न कदाचन ।
