v3.c29.83

Murtazā would not take the field against his rebellious favourite, but ordered Sayyid Murtazā of Sabzavār to take him alive or expel him from the kingdom. The foreign officers joyfully accepted the task and, having induced Sāhib Khān to receive them, stabbed him to death and reported to the king that he had attacked them and had been slain in the combat that ensued. Murtazā mourned his favourite, while his subjects rejoiced at his death.
