v3.c29.84

‘Alī ‘Ādil Shāh was engaged, after the failure of his attempt to capture Bālkonda, in hostilities with the Marāthā officers who had played him false, and were now settled in the neighbourhood of Vijayanagar. Military operations against them were unsuccessful, and the king, not without difficulty, persuaded them to visit him at Bījāpur, where he blinded one of their leaders and put the rest to death with torture.
