¹⁴⁶⁴ Dr Altekar (pp 28-29) notes that at present a ghāṭ and a tank near the Rajaghat station is known by the name Kapālamocanaghāṭ, that there exists a temple near this tank dedicated to Kapālamocaneśvara and that the god must have been removed from the original place to the present habitation at some time during the last 700 years.
