This disquisition shows that the Yogasūtra and its bhāṣya held that time was not a *dravya* and not a tangible reality, but that it was merely a word, a mental concept inseparable from the perception or experience of physical objects as a characteristic (*viśeṣaṇa* or *upādhi*), that it attaches itself to the changing realities, that we measure it according to the movements of or changes in things and that it was not merely like a hare's horn.
