It is also the duty of the Superintendent of Stores to personally supervise the increase or decrease caused to the grains as they are pounded (*kshuṇṇa*), frayed (*ghṛishṭa*), reduced to flour (*pishṭa*), or fried (*bhṛishṭa*) or dried after being soaked in water.
