**Superintendent of Commerce** (*Paṇyādhyaksha*) [II. 16]. He was in charge of the control of supply, prices, purchase, and sale of commodities. Sale of home products owned by the State (*sva-bhūmijā-rājapaṇya*) is to be made through one market (*ekamukham*) and centralised, and imports through many markets (*aneka-mukham*).
