Arrowheads from C. Asia collected by Stein (Andrews, 1935, p. 331) furnish proof that Indian influence was carried across Chinese Turkistan with the spread of Buddhism. Arrowheads with or without tang, having obtuse point, hollow-sided and flat-headed, or concave-sided triangles are found there. The edge line of the blade varies in different specimens from straight to a beautiful cutting curve. In this type the shaft of the arrow must have been fitted to the tapering hollow stem of the arrowhead.
