v1.c15.s7.7

The origin of the Ahar culture has not been clearly established. Some people suggested without convincing proof that it came from Western Asia and had at Ahar. It is much more probable that after the collapse of the Harappan civilization, the people who knew copper and the metal-smiths of the Ganeshwar-Jodhpura culture migrated southwards and settled at Ahar. It is possible that they brought their traditions of iron level and the Chalcolithic culture. This is a point which we can-stand. (Sankalia et al. 1969).
