The style of the Carakasaṃhitā is much more developed than that of the Bhelasaṃhitā, the contents of which resemble it in many respects. P.V. Sharma38 pointed to the remarkable differences when the vātakalakalīya chapters of both treatises39 are compared. He also called attention to a number of skillful and beautiful verses.40
