Let us now see what the contribution of Nālandā pandits was to the development of Logic. Hitherto, up to about 400 A.D., Logic was mixed up with Philosophy and Religion. With the advent of Diṅnāga in the field, Logic came into prominence. Diṅnāga, as we shall see later on, was one of the greatest pandits of Nālandā.
